Managing Director

Glenn Wallace


Glenn Wallace is the Managing Director of Norfolk and was appointed to the role in 2004, following the successful acquisition of the businesses now forming Norfolk. With many years experience in senior management roles both in New Zealand and Australia, Glenn works with other members of management to develop the strategy and business development tactics for Norfolk.

 

Prior to joining Norfolk, Glenn held a number of senior roles including Managing Director of Tyco, having held various roles within Tyco since joining the company as National Sales Manager in 1987, and Managing Director of the Tiri Group from 2003. Glenn is currently a non-executive director of Maui Capital Limited.

 

Glenn has a Diploma in Leadership Management from the Macquarie Business School, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the University of Hawaii in 1996. He is a NSW  Council Member in the Australian Industry Group and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


   


Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Stephen McDonald


Stephen McDonald was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer on 1st July 2011. He joined Norfolk in 2008 as Group Financial Controller and was appointed to the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer in February 2011. As Acting Chief Financial Officer, Stephen was responsible for Norfolk’s financial and management reporting, treasury, taxation, risk management and investor relations.

In a career spanning more than 18 years in the accounting profession, Stephen has held a number of senior financial roles across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Norfolk, Stephen has held the positions of Group Financial Controller at OceanaGold Corporation, Group Financial Controller and then Chief Financial Officer at Atlas Group Holdings Limited and Financial Controller of Faulding Pharmaceuticals.

 

Stephen is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University.


   


General Counsel and Company Secretary

Fiona Lovell


Fiona Lovell joined Norfolk in 2008 as Senior Legal Counsel and was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary in April 2009. As General Counsel, Fiona is responsible for the management of legal services across Norfolk, and for providing legal advice to the Norfolk Board and senior management. As Company Secretary, Fiona is responsible for the effective administration of the Board and for ensuring compliance with regulations, including the ASX listing rules.

 

Fiona has a strong background in corporate and commercial matters, specialising in complex and large-scale litigation. Prior to joining Norfolk, Fiona worked as a solicitor in private practice and advised a number of listed entities.

 

Fiona has completed a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance with Chartered Secretaries Australia, a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in International Law from the University of Sydney.

 

Fiona also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.


   


Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Kim Truter


Kim joined the Company in January 2012 and brings with him a wealth of international resource sector experience (Africa, Australia and Canada) across multiple commodities (gold, iron ore, coal, diamonds, nickel, mineral sands) in remote and challenging geographies. Kim has more than 25 years of experience and has held a range of senior executive positions in corporate and operational areas with bluechip companies Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton. Recent roles include General Manager Operations for Rio Tinto Coal Australia, General Manager Business Planning for BHP Billiton (Illawarra Coal) and strategic operations management roles at BlueScope Steel (Australia) and Hamersley Iron (Rio Tinto – Tom Price, WA). Most recently, prior to joining Norfolk, Kim was with Rio Tinto where he was President & Chief Operating Officer for their Diavik Diamond Mine in Canada.

A highly experienced and senior industry professional, Kim’s primary role as Chief Operating Officer is to focus on strategic initiatives, drive margin improvement and operational delivery through continual improvement and focussing on best practice procedures for the Company. He is also responsible for the overall operational activities of the Company’s core brands O’Donnell Griffin and Haden.

Kim has a proven track record in personally leading Health & Safety efforts resulting in improved work practices and reductions in injury and incident rates and is recognised as an industry leader in this regard. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mining) from the University of Witwatersrand (RSA); a Diploma in Mine Surveying and has completed courses in both Strategic and Business Leadership through the London and Sydney Business Schools.


   


Director, Strategy & Growth

Gregg Scanlan


Gregg Scanlan joined the Norfolk Group in April 2012 in the newly formed role of Director, Strategy and Growth. In this role Gregg is responsible for the growth of the organisation in line with its strategic plan, including business analytics, marketing and communication, and business development.

Gregg brings more than 12 years’ experience in the construction and service industries with a particular focus on mining support services and construction. Greg most recently held a dual role at Sandvik Mining in Austria, where he was Global Vice President of Exploration and Global Vice President of Surface Mining. Prior he held key operational and strategic senior roles with Komatsu Australasia, P&H Minepro Services, Qantas, Tradelink Plumbing Supplies and Shell Australia.

With a key strength in implementing business strategy to develop profitable business growth, and successfully executing Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM), Gregg is a valuable addition to the Norfolk team.

   


Chief Executive, O'Donnell Griffin Operations

Keian Barnard


In February 2012, Keian Barnard assumed the role of Chief Executive of O’Donnell Griffin. In this role, Keian is responsible for the strategic growth and profitability of O’Donnell Griffin, Norfolk’s largest individual business.

Keian stepped into this role from his previous position as General Manager – Operations. Throughout his time with Norfolk, Keian has also held positions with O’Donnell Griffin as General Manager – Power and Acting State Manager for Victoria.

Keian has an impressive portfolio of industry experience and contacts, including his previous role as General Manager of Amp Controls’ Power business, following a successful 15 year career with them. Prior to this, Keian worked for Metal Manufacturers, heading up their MM Mining Electrical business in Queensland.

Keian holds several tertiary qualifications including a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree in Accounting, a Diploma of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Trades Certificate, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.


   


Chief Executive Officer Haden

Mark Williamson


Mark Williamson joined Haden in November 2010 as General Manager Haden Construction, and more recently Chief Executive, after a successful term with McAlpine Hussmann as General Manager and Director.

 

Mark is responsible for the strategic growth and profitability of Haden in Australia and has more than 20 years experience in the HVAC and building products and services industry. He has built his career within businesses such as McAlpine Hussman, Heatcraft and James N Kirby, developing skills across a diverse range of areas encompassing engineering, construction, operations, sales and marketing, channel management and industrial services. He has gained extensive experience in local and overseas markets, most notably the US.

 

Mark has completed the Entrepreneurial General Manager Program (Duke University, USA) and holds certificates in Electrical Engineering and Business Management.


   


General Manager Resolve FM

Mark Perryman


Mark Perryman was appointed General Manager of Resolve FM in 2010. Mark is responsible for the strategic development, growth and profitability of Resolve FM.

 

Mark has 30 years experience in the building and construction industry, focusing primarily over the past 12 years on large portfolio facilities maintenance including National Portfolios, PPP and large single sites.

 

Prior to joining Resolve FM, Mark has held senior positions in the facilities management industry, including National Operations Manager for Honeywell TAM business and General Manager for the Northern Region for KGFM (now United Group Services). Prior to this, Mark spent a total of 15 years

with Kilpatrick Green in a variety of divisions and roles.

 

Mark holds a Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management.


   


Chief Executive, New Zealand

Keith Blind


Keith Blind joined Norfolk in September 2010 as General Manager, New Zealand and brings extensive industry knowledge, practical experience in operations, fiscal responsibility, management, employee relations and communication.

 

Keith is responsible for Norfolk’s Haden and O’Donnell Griffin businesses in New Zealand. Keith has been an executive member of the Fire Protection Association for 10 years and a member of their governance committee and is a director of three companies in the association.

 

For the past 19 years Keith has been with Tyco New Zealand where he started in 1991 as a Branch Manager, rising to the position of Vice President and General Manager of New Zealand and Fiji which he held from 2002 to 2010.

 

Keith has a strong business acumen and vast experience in strategic thinking, change management, relationship building, negotiation skills and financial management.


   


Executive General Manager Rail, O'Donnell Griffin

Peter Winder


Peter Winder boasts more than 25 years of rail experience and is responsible for O’Donnell Griffin – Rail. His experience is across a diverse range of projects, focusing on projects which have contributed to growing rail industry capacity and further expanding the rail network.

 

He has worked for State Rail, FreightCorp and Pacific National before being approached by O’Donnell Griffin in late 2008 to lead the Novo Rail Alliance bid team. Successful in this bid, Peter then assumed the role of Novo Rail Alliance General Manager, where his strong experience in managing complex rail businesses served him well for the first few important business establishment years of the alliance’s lifespan.

 

While his skills in running multi-disciplinary groups and delivering value for money business outcomes were particularly pertinent to his role as head of the Novo Rail alliance, Peter also has extensive general management experience in both public and private sector environments and a strong track record in delivering results.
