The Electrical and Communications division is Norfolk’s largest division. It provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist services throughout Australia and New Zealand from its 28 locations and has a reputation for being able to resource and complete sophisticated, complex projects.

Electrical and Communication Division Locations

The division carries out the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of a wide range of electrical and communication systems, including::

• rail signalling, traction and communication systems for freight, passenger and industrial rail infrastructure;
• electrical cabling and instrumentation for power generation plants;
• electrical power transmission lines and substations for major utilities and the heavy industrial sector;
• electrical reticulation systems, instrumentation and automation, specialist high voltage transformation and distribution systems and large-scale back-up power systems for mines and supporting mine infrastructure;
• cabling and control systems for industrial plants and dams as well as electrical reticulation systems, instrumentation and automation and high voltage transformation and distribution systems for industrial applications;
• voice and data infrastructure and maintenance of telecommunication cellular sites and exchanges;
• wiring and power control systems and data networks for use in commercial buildings; and
• general electrical systems.

The division also designs, manufactures and distributes energy control, measuring, recording and monitoring technology. It operates through 4 key brands, many of which are the leading brands in their markets. 

Management estimates that the Electrical and Communications division is the leading participant in the Australian electrical services market, with a share of approximately 4% of the fragmented services market.

	A national provider of electrical services providers in New Zealand, with nine branches across the country. Specific expertise in the provision of design and installation, data, security, electrical servicing and maintenance to the industrial and commercial markets.
